The death of his mother is a great burden to 14-year-old Darek. Then he falls in love with a girl who smells of oranges... The family is thrown out of their inner balance in their grief, their problems sprout from every corner. Especially Darek, student of the ninth grade, suffers from the loss, but at the same time he has to take the place of his mother and now has to take care of his handicapped sister Ema even more and also defend her with his fists against the attacks of his classmate Hugo.
